ANMF NT Branch Organiser
Location: Darwin, Northern Territory

Salary: $123,717 – $134,257

The ANMF NT Branch is searching for an Organiser to join our team. The applicant will be driven by fairness, hold union values at their core and be passionate about empowering our members across the Territory.

About the Role
As an ANMF NT Organiser you will
- Build strong membership and active delegate networks across the Territory
- Support members with industrial, professional and workplace matters
- Assist with enterprise bargaining and represent members in relevant forums
- Ensure ANMF has a consistent and visible presence in workplaces
- Help members navigate issues including workers compensation, WHS concerns, disputes, AHPRA matters and more
- Contribute to campaigns, communications, organising plans and strategic initiatives
- Travel by road and air to engage with members in diverse settings
Selection criteria:
The applicant must have:
- A current nursing or midwifery qualification
- A commitment to trade union values and collective action
- Strong communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills
- The ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- A current driver’s licence and the willingness to travel throughout the Territory
- Confidence in interpreting industrial instruments including the Fair Work Act and Enterprise Agreements or a willingness to learn
- Good digital literacy (Microsoft Office, email, research tools, etc.)

Contract Term
This position is offered on a 12-month contract, with a 6-month probationary period, after 12 months a permanent position will be considered.
